Get Your Feet Sandal Ready for More Sun!
Before you slip into those new wedges or sandals, you may want to do something about those stubborn dry, possibly cracked heels that have been hiding away all winter!
We all want our feet to look and feel as good as the shoes we’re stepping into so here are steps to get your feet sandal ready!:
1. Soak
Deep clean your feet in a tub of water with soap, we prefer Pedi Soak by Gena, for 5-10 minutes. Ingredients like tea tree oil will help leave your feet clean and fresh!
2. Exfoliate
Exfoliation is key to getting rid of any dead skin, dry patches, and works best after you’ve soaked your feet. Everyone has their personal preferences for what works best, but we recommend a mult- iside pumice stone like Mr. Pumice’s pumi bar which has a coarse and medium side. If this doesn’t cut it, Baby Foot’s Exfoliation Foot Peel is amazing for those stubborn thick calluses. Simply wrap the plastic booties around each foot, wear for an hour, remove and rinse with soap and water. After 5-7 days after the initial application, watch as the calluses and dead skin begin to peel off naturally over the course of 2 weeks. While this seems like a long time, anything good takes time! ..and the results won’t disappoint.
3. Buff
Buff away any hard skin to create smoother softer feet. Try the Cricket Micro Buffer Trio to quickly buff away hard skin in minutes. It comes with multiple attachments ranging from coarse to fine rollers. Whether it’s for callous skin around the toes, balls of the feets, or cracked heels, this is a great versatile buffer.
4. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!
We cannot stress this enough! Because our feet are up to 10x thicker than the rest of our bodies’ skin, it requires a much more intensive moisturizing routine! Ideally, wash your feet before bed and dry. Be sure to dry them as much as possible to get rid of any moisture. Massage the top and bottoms of your feet with an ultra rich foot cream (we recommend Nordic Care Foot Cream) BUT, not very little between the toes. Moisture + lotion between the toes is the perfect place and condition for bacteria to grow! Over night, your feet will absorb the lotion locking in all the work you did prior keeping them soft and smooth.

5. Cuticles
Even though we’ve tackled the more difficult part of the foot routine, you can’t forget the cuticles. Apply a cuticle remover, push back the cuticle and gently trim any hanging skin with nippers. Pro Tip: Don’t get carried away! Don’t trim more than necessary as the skin will grow back thicker and tougher.
6. Beautify
Finally, add your own unique creative touch and favorite color! Toe separators are a must and don’t be afraid to reach for those bright summer vibe colors!
